Romney: Obama ‘has run a strong campaign’
Stopping at a campaign office in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, Mitt Romney encouraged volunteers to stay positive as they made their final phone calls.
We “don’t need to be disparaging of the other guy,” the candidate said. “The president has run a strong campaign, I believe he is a good man and wish him well, and his family well. He is a good father and has been a good example of a good father, but it is time for a new direction. It is a time for a better tomorrow.”
Romney signed a flyer that said, “Today is Election Day VOTE Mitt Romney.” The visit is part of a last-minute swing through Pennsylvania, a state ignored for most of the campaign. Upon landing at Pittsburgh International Airport, Romney was visibly moved by the sight of hundreds of supporters, who had unexpectedly gathered to cheer his arrival.
