Lena Dunham Pisses off Conservatives

Lena Dunham recently starred in a pretty funny video short encouraging viewers to vote for President Obama, but some people weren't too pleased. In fact, the advertisement has gotten quite the negative response from conservative bloggers and pundits who feel that it was done in poor taste and vulgarity. The funniest part about this mock outrage the far-right is trying to inspire is that notorious misogynist Rush Limbaugh has joined in on bashing the ad and (get this) claims that it's demeaning to women!

If you haven't seen the video, you can watch it at the bottom of this post. It's pretty funny and fitting to this era's collective sense of humor. Of course it's targeting young, hip women using a celebrity who is known to have sexualized and rather quirky and off-key humor. Lena Dunham thinks it's hilarious that the far right is making such a stink about the video by saying the following:

"It tickles me to no end that while my Twitter feed was blowing up with conservative hate I was literally hanging out in a pile of bisexuals."

Of course she's taking this backlash with the same edgy humor she used in the advertisement she filmed in support for POTUS Obama. The fact of the matter is that the hip and young crowd is a target audience during Obama's campaign, so naturally there will be advertisements like this that cater to them, their humor and their ideals.

Whiny babies like Rush Limbaugh and the bloggers at Redstate.com are just expressing the sour grapes that the democrats seem to have a good idea on how to reach the masses, one group at a time. The only way the far right knows how to do that is through discrimination and bigotry.

If women everywhere should be upset about anything, it shouldn't be the hip and funny video that Dunham filmed, it should be Limbaugh who feigned outrage at the video and concern for women. After he rabidly called Sandra Fluke a sl*t and a wh*re and suggested that she should film sex tapes for his entertainment to pay for her birth control pills, he comes across as nothing more than a disgusting pig whenever he speaks about "women" as a group in America.
