Selena Gomez’s Sexy Performance: Best Revenge Outfit Ever?

Selena Gomez’s Sexy Performance: Best Revenge Outfit Ever?

Justin Bieber, you may want to sit down. Justin’s ex hit the stage for a pre-taping of ‘Macy’s Fourth of July Spectacular’ on June 29 looking hotter than a bonfire.
What Selena Gomez wore during her performance for Macy’s Fourth of July Spectacular, we’re not even sure we can classify it as revenge dressing. It’s hotter than that. She singlehandedly brought a whole new meaning to the term when she took the stage at Liberty Park in New Jersey on June 29.

Selena Gomez’s Ultra-Sexy Fourth Of July Performance
Selena made jaws drop in just a firetruck red bra top and a flowing white high-low skirt. The outfit showed a large helping of cleavage, as well as Selena’s toned stomach and legs. The 20-year-old singer finished it off with a white pair of ankle-high gladiator sandals.

The “Come & Get It” singer’s sexy look was for a pre-taped performance part of Macy’s annual Fourth of July celebration, and being patriotic has never looked so good. Selena sang “Slow Down” for the horde of screaming fans; it’s the first time she’s performed the song live.

The 37th annual Fourth of July event will air on NBC on July 4 and will also feature Selena’s BFF Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon.

Selena Gomez: Looking For A Sexy New Guy?
Seeing Selena this hot likely makes Justin Bieber want to claw his eyes out, but the sexy, much more adult outfit is more than just for pure revenge — it’s also a sign of what Selena is looking for in a new man (emphasis on the word, “man”).

“She wants a sexy man,” a source close to the singer told HollywoodLife.com exclusively. The source also added that Selena is trying not to be distracted by boys right now, instead remaining “focused on herself and growing as a performer and making her fans happy.”

Well whatever she’s doing she should keep doing it — she looks incredible! Watch a video of her performance below and let us know what you think, HollywoodLifers!

‘Dexter’ Season Premiere Spoilers: Sex, Drugs & Grisly Murder

‘Dexter’ Season Premiere Spoilers: Sex, Drugs & Grisly Murder

Showtime’s bloodiest show is back for one more season on June 30! Get an early peek at the all the crazy drama that awaits Dexter this season with these five scoops.
After all these years, Dexter is coming to an end, but not before one more thrilling season. When we last left our favorite serial killer who only kills serial killers, the walls were closing in like never before, with his family and Miami Metro growing more and more suspicious that the boring blood analyst guy was something much more. After getting a sneak preview at season eight, we can assure you that the tension will be higher than ever, and that Dexter lovers will have these five spoilers to look forward to in the season premiere.

‘Dexter’ Season Premiere: 5 Spoilers
1. LaGuerta’s Death Will Not Be Overlooked

If you remember, Debra Morgan (Jennifer Carpenter) had to choose whether to shoot her brother Dexter (Michael C. Hall) or Lt. Maria LaGuerta (Lauren Velez). Deb kept it all in the family, shooting down the latter. And while Dexter masterfully covered his and his sister’s tracks, don’t think they’re out of the woods. One character in particular, who had an intimate relationship with the lieutenant, isn’t quite ready to let LaGuerta’s death go.

2. Deb Dabbles With Drugs

The aforementioned murder has really sent Deb to a dark place. Like a snort-a-lot-of-cocaine kind of place. If you’ve spent the last seven seasons annoyed at Deb for being so darn straight-laced, then you’re in luck! The old Debra Morgan is long gone.

3. Dexter Faces Off With A Brit

Almost every season there’s a character who shows up in Miami who’s a huge threat to Dex — Doakes, Lundy, Miguel Prado. Enter Dr. Evelyn Vogel, a genius psychiatrist who is described as a sort of “serial killer whisperer.” Will Dexter be able to tip-toe around her, or is he going to have to put her on his operating table?

4. Brains!

Dexter has featured a guy who bleeds his victims out in an ice truck, one who skins his victims, and one who killed in a specific series of three. So yeah, we’ve seen some gruesome deaths before, but season eight’s big bad guy might be the creepiest. Mostly because this killer cuts open his victims’ heads and messes around with the insides. Just another day in the life of Dexter!

5. Sex On The Miami Beach

With Debra busy off snorting cocaine, her ex-fiance Joey Quinn (Desmond Harrington) has a ton of time on his hands. And if you know Joey, you know how he’s going to use his free time. But you’ll be shocked to find out who he’s spending it with!

HollywoodLifers, what are you looking forward to for the final season of Dexter? Let us know in the comments below!

Avs take Nathan MacKinnon at No. 1 - NHL draft

Avs take Nathan MacKinnon at No. 1

Nathan MacKinnon and Sidney Crosby now share more than a hometown.

They've both been No. 1 picks in the NHL draft.

The Colorado Avalanche made the 17-year-old MacKinnon the first pick of the draft on Sunday at the Prudential Center.

The Avalanche won the draft lottery for the first time in team history and Joe Sakic, the man put in charge of Colorado's rebuilding project, had made it clear that MacKinnon was going to be the top pick. He was the first player drafted No. 1 overall out of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League since the Pittsburgh Penguins selected Crosby in 2005.

MacKinnon and Crosby are both from Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia.

"I love Sid. He's my favorite player," MacKinnon said. "I guess he's still my favorite player. I don't really know what to say now since I'm going to be in the same league as him. I don't know if I should dislike him or not."

MacKinnon, a 6-foot, 182-pound center, said it all with a laugh. But he's serious about making the big club this season with Colorado.

"Hopefully, I can make the team and stick there," MacKinnon said. "I feel like I can be a contributor next year."

MacKinnon is a solid two-way presence with strong hands and stick-handling and skating skills. He is considered a natural scorer and an excellent distributor. Sakic ended the guessing game in the final week when he said MacKinnon would be their pick.

"They said it in the media but I didn't really get my hopes up," MacKinnon said. "I was definitely more nervous than I expected to be a couple of minutes before the draft."

He played for the Halifax Mooseheads and led them to the Memorial Cup championship. MacKinnon, who turns 18 on Sept. 1, was named tournament MVP after scoring 13 points.

Next stop, Colorado?

That was just the start of a busy day at the home of the New Jersey Devils, who gave a jam-packed crowd a reason to cheer when they announced they acquired goaltender Cory Schneider from Vancouver. Schneider seems in line to be the eventual successor to Martin Brodeur in net.

The rest of the teams were busy planning their future through the draft.

The Florida Panthers made center Aleksander Barkov, the top-ranked European skater, the second overall pick.

Tampa Bay took forward Jonathan Drouin, also out of Halifax, with the third overall pick.

The Nashville Predators pounced on defenseman Seth Jones with the fourth overall pick. Jones, a 6-foot-4, 205-pound defenseman, was widely considered the top prospect in the draft. He was the top-ranked player on the NHL Central Scouting's final list of North American skaters.

"Extremely happy to be apart of the @PredsNHL organization!" Jones tweeted.

He is the son of former NBA forward Popeye Jones. Popeye Jones paced the floor of the Prudential Center and said Seth slept great and was calm in the final hours leading up to the draft.

But that had to change just a bit when Jones, who played for Portland of the Western Hockey League last season, slipped to fourth.

Carolina selected Elias Lindholm, who played in Sweden, fifth and the Calgary Flames followed with center Sean Monahan from Ottawa of the Ontario Hockey League.

After picking first the last three years, the Edmonton Oilers took defenseman Darnell Nurse, of Saulte Ste. Marie in the OHL, with the seventh choice. Nurse is the nephew of former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb. McNabb posted a picture on Twitter of the two of them smiling together a couple of hours before the draft.

The NHL had two black players picked in the top seven with Jones and Nurse.

The Buffalo Sabres took Finnish defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen with the eighth overall pick.

The Devils and the Prudential Center are hosting the draft for the first time. NHL commissioner Gary Bettman was drowned out by boos each time he took the podium. But he finally heard cheers when he announced the Devils were on the clock. It became louder when Bettman announced the Devils traded the ninth pick to Vancouver for Schneider.

"I think you guys are gonna want to hear this," Bettman said.

Schneider was on the market once the Canucks were unable to dump high-priced goalie Roberto Luongo.

The Canucks then selected center Bo Horvat, of London (OHL), with the ninth pick. The Dallas Stars selected forward Valeri Nichushkin, of Russia, with the 10th pick.

Jones, who lived in Colorado as a youth and seemed a perfect fit for the Avalanche, has ties to Tennessee, as well. Popeye Jones owns a house there, and there is still family throughout the state.

"It's a perfect spot for him," Popeye Jones said, proudly. "He'll be motivated there, and ready to go."

Release Date For iPhone 5S Predicted For September 20, Followed by Low-Cost iPhone 6

Release Date For iPhone 5S Predicted For September 20, Followed by Low-Cost iPhone 6

If You’re an iPhone user and you haven’t upgraded to a 5 yet, odds are, you’re sticking it out and waiting for the 5S. I’m in the same boat, realizing that iOS 7 will technically run on my iPhone 4, but barely. The good news is that we could be about 12 weeks away from the next iPhone.

The prediction of a September 20 release date (and a product announcement ten days earlier that will also include the September 18 release date of iOS 7) is being ventured by Dave Smith, technology editor for International Business Times. Here’s what it’s based on:

First, he assumes that iOS 7 will follow the pattern of iOS 6 and be released exactly 100 days after its announcement (that would be the September 18 date). Then he figures the new iPhone will follow by just two days, just as the iPhone 5 followed two days after iOS 6. Apple AAPL +0.68% does tend to follow these kinds of almost superstitious and numerological habits, so his math makes sense.

A bigger leap based on leaks and rumors concerns the low-cost iPhone 6 (or iPhone Light or whatever) that Smith goes on to predict will be released a week or two later (to avoid excess lines at the Apple stores.) Assuming the rumors are true and that leaked photos of brightly colored plastic iPhone casings are legit and not just unauthorized Chinese knockoffs, release dates of September 27 or October 4 sound plausible.

These supposedly colorful and inexpensive iPhone will be aimed primarily at the developing markets of China and India, but I think they will prove popular here as well. The preciousness of the standard iPhone casing is not actually a selling point for some users, particularly the young and butter-fingered! Now if they could work some smash-proof glass in there too that would be a real winner.

The other reason for the close coupling of these release dates, again according to Smith, is to make room later in October for another announcement, this time for a new full-size iPad and a retina iPad Mini—and maybe a new Apple TV and/or an iWatch—just in time for Christmas shopping.

The low-cost iPhone could do for Apple’s phone line what the iPad Mini has done for its tablet line. The lower price point, rather than the smaller size, is the thing that will convince incremental customers to join the Apple platform. The Apple TV, the iWatch and iOS in the car are the things that will extend that experience and give users ever more things to hook their iPhones up to.

If Apple can do all of this (or even most of it) and tune up the rough edges on iOS 7, the end of 2013 could prove to be a turn-around for Cupertino’s fortunes. But my needs are simple. I just want my iPhone 5S!

Jessica Korda's Classless Mid-Round Firing Of Caddie Demands LPGA Tour Sanctioning

Jessica Korda's Classless Mid-Round Firing Of Caddie Demands LPGA Tour Sanctioning

First, I realize that golfers have disputes with their caddies.  We recently witnessed 2012 Masters champion Bubba Watson having words with his caddie.  And famously years ago at the British Open we had Ian Woosnam throwing clubs out of his bag because his caddie had allowed too many clubs to be placed in Woosnam’s bag.

Second, I realize as a consequence that golfers can/will fire their caddies.

But during Saturday’s third round of the United States Women’s Open at Sebonack Golf Club in Southampton, NY, Jessica Korda fired her caddie Jason Gilroyed at the turn.

Because women’s golf doesn’t really move the popularity needle, this story did not receive the attention it might have if it had happened to Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, or Phil Mickelson.

That said, this classless display of brat-like behavior deserves a significant fine from either the LPGA Tour or the USGA.  This type of behavior cannot become commonplace.

Imagine if Serena Williams after losing a tightly-contested tiebreaker turned to her player’s box and fired her coach in mid-match (which if you believe the rumors, would also likely end their personal relationship).

Or if Danica Patrick fired her crew chief after the 100th lap of a 200-lap race.

If I’m the commissioner of the women’s golf tour, I don’t want people tuning in every week to see the melodrama associated with the next hissy fit thrown by a spoiled young woman, be it Jessica Korda or someone else.

The focus of the weekend should be on current leader and likely winner Inbee Park, who with a victory on Sunday will hold the first three women’s majors of the season…the first time that has been accomplished since Babe Zaharias did so in 1950!

Instead, people are talking about Jessica Korda.

The lack of professionalism displayed in this matter is truly embarrassing for the tour and USGA, while only exhibiting behavior that reinforces some negative stereotypes associated with women’s athletics.

Currently ranked 39th in the world as a 20-year old, Ms. Korda shows promise.  Of course, when exhibiting these sorts of theatrics, one must wonder how this type of behavior could negatively impact her own marketability should she slowly climb the world rankings.

Cowboys center Phil Costa gets engaged to Hulk Hogan’s daughter Brooke

Cowboys center Phil Costa gets engaged to Hulk Hogan’s daughter Brooke

Brooke and Hulk Hogan ... Hulk is the one with the mustache (USA Today Sports Images)

Phil Costa is now a full-fledged Hulkamaniac – or at least a Hulka-daughter-maniac.
Costa, a center who is entering his fourth NFL season with the Dallas Cowboys, pledged to take on the most famous wrestler in the world as his father in law when he dropped to one knee at the Bellagio in Las Vegas (nice touch, Phil) and proposed to Brooke Hogan, the daughter of Hulk Hogan.
No word on whether Hulkster will rip off his tuxedo shirt after walking Brooke down the aisle.
Here's a photo of the big moment, posted to Brooke Hogan's Instagram account:

(Instagram/mizzhogan)

We shouldn't use up all the snarky jokes at Hulk's expense (also considered: "Will Hulk drop the big leg on Costa if he doesn't treat Brooke right?" "Will Brooke walk down the aisle to 'Real American?'" "Does Costa have to survive a cage match with Hulk and King Kong Bundy to get Hulk's blessing?" and "What does the Iron Sheik think about all this?" ... BONUS JOKE: "Will someone intercept the wedding rings from Tony Romo?") because Brooke is famous on her own right. She was part of the reality series "Hogan Knows Best," and parlayed that into some singing success and minor acting roles.
We're glad for the couple, as Brooke proclaimed it the happiest moment of her life. Just more proof that if you train, say your prayers and eat your vitamins, it'll all turn out with a storybook ending. Brother.

‘Anna Nicole’ Reviews: How Was Lifetime’s Anna Nicole Smith Movie?

‘Anna Nicole’ Reviews: How Was Lifetime’s Anna Nicole Smith Movie?

Lifetime was at it again on June 29, premiering their latest based-on-real-life movie with the tragic story of the troubled star, Anna Nicole Smith. The source material was high drama to begin with — so did the TV flick live up to the real story?
Say what you want about Lifetime, but they found their groove and they’re sticking to it. Anna Nicole, which premiered on June 29, is just the most recent installment of the camp-y, overly dramatic made-for-TV movies that Lifetime does so well. We at HollywoodLife.com called Lifetime’s story of Anna Nicole Smith “crazy, wild fun” and a “roller coaster ride of drugs, alcohol, and tragedy,” but did the rest of the critics like it as much as we did?

‘Anna Nicole’ Reviews
Variety

Anna Nicole isn’t really about anything in the conventional sense, but still manages to be as hard to turn away from and vaguely sleazy as its namesake, which should suit Lifetime’s purposes just fine. If nothing else, the movie appears destined to win some kind of award for most convincing prosthetic cleavage, allowing Agnes Bruckner to play the Playboy and Guess jeans model in her pre- and “build-on” breast stages, flanked by a perfectly cast Martin Landau and Adam Goldberg as the unlikely men in her life. As guilty pleasures go, this one certainly doesn’t lack for moments at which to hoot.

New York Post

On Saturday night, Lifetime blows out the doors with Anna Nicole, a true-life movie so good, so well-written and yet sleazy enough to satisfy even the cheesiest viewers among us.

The Hollywood Reporter

It was in 2007 that Anna Nicole Smith, aka Vickie Lynn Hogan, the small-town Texas girl who grew up to embody one of the most spectacularly unfortunate public meltdowns of modern Hollywood, died from a cocktail of prescription drugs at the age of 39. That rags-to-riches story is an old Hollywood fable continuously reflected in a constant rotation of bright young things. But Anna Nicole manages to breathe new life into the tale of yet another young woman with a misplaced Marilyn Monroe obsession that turns into a curse.

Boston Globe

The movie, which premieres on Saturday at 8, has nothing to offer. It’s storytelling at its most shallow and unsatisfying. Written by John Rice and Joe Batteer and directed by Mary Harron, Anna Nicole barely conveys the basic facts of Smith’s life, never mind any bigger ideas about her private terrors and our cultural demons. Bruckner is fine as Smith, and her prosthetic breastplate is quite impressive; but the script gives her nothing of substance or with resonance.

So besides one scathing review, everyone seems to be on board with us! We hope you set your DVRs to record Anna Nicole or that you can catch a rerun, because it’s definitely worth a viewing.

HollywoodLifers, did you see Anna Nicole? What did you think? Let us know!
